Cracking mill (roller mill) VPZ-1000 is applied for grinding of feed pellets, grain (wheat, maize etc.) and legumes (soy bean, lupin etc.) in the lines for production of compound animal feeds and protein-vitamin and mineral supplements.

Cracking mill (roller mill) VPZ-1000 is applied for grinding of feed pellets, grain (wheat, maize etc.) and legumes (soy bean, lupin etc.) in the lines for production of compound animal feeds and protein-vitamin and mineral supplements.


Throughput is 8-25 t/h.


  • Clearance between rollers is easy to adjust.

  • Degree and quality of grinding can be checked during production process.

  • High-quality grooved rollers are manufactured in accordance with Bühler technology.

  • Possibility of multiple re-cutting of roller grooving, protection against damage due to combination of screw and disk springs that contribute to the long service life.


Can successfully substitute (complement) the hammer mill.


Feasibility of application:


Cracking mills are applied for grinding to receive uniform particle-size composition. They are also widely used in the production of structured feed product with precisely specified granulometry parameters, for example, for laying hens. Among advantages of cracking mill are low energy consumption, no product heating and possibility to achieve a narrow range of particle size. (3)


fine fraction part in the finished product is significantly lower after the cracking mill, than after the hammer mill (2)


high content of the fine fraction (over 25%) in the compound animal feeds for pigs adversely affects their health and productivity may develop peptic ulcer disease (2)


coarse grinding lowered feed:gain of broilers compared with fine grinding. In wheat-based diets, coarse grinding improved AME (n) compared with fine grinding. (1)


by integrating cracking mills to the new or existing lines it is possible to improve structure of animal feeds significantly with great reduction of energy consumption (2)
