Structure and Functioning


Conveyor is a stationary continuously-operated transporter with working traction element – chain with scrapers.


Conveyor mark KOS-400 general view is shown on fig.1. Main conveyor parts are: 1 – drive section, 2 – intermediate section, 3 – intermediate section with grate bar, 4 – tension section, 5 – loading section, 6 – traction chain with scrapers, 7 – throttle valve, 8 – collector.


Conveyor rectangular casing (covered in full), throttle valves and collector are made of corrosion and heat resistant steel. Traction chain, grate bars, shafts, sprocket and roller are made of high-quality structural steel.


Conveyor operation concept is as follows: oil cake is supplied through loading port (manufactured on-site) to the upper bottom into loading section and moved towards drive section by chain with scrapers. Passing through intermediate sections with grate bars, which are placed one after another with intermediate sections, oil cake is cooled due to blowing of atmospheric air through it. Sifting of small oil cake fractions to the lower bottom is also occurred on grate bars. Air for cooling is supplied to the conveyor from atmosphere through side openings in the intermediate sections and, passing through slots in grate bars, to the conveyor collector. Throttle valves are provided on sections with grate bars to prevent drifting of oil cake small fractions to collector. Cooled oil cake moves along upper bottom to drive section and empties into unloading pipe. Small oil cake fraction, which passed through grate bar slots, returns to tension section along lower bottom and empties into second unloading pipe.


It is recommended to start up the conveyor without product inside and stop only after full product unloading.
